At the worksite for the new Cimar cement works near Agadir, teams from Sogea Maroc have just completed, on behalf of the Italcimenti Group, the construction of the 112 m high “pre-heating tower”, used to heat the raw materials. This structure, which required the deployment of 12,000 cu.metres of concrete and 1,800 t of steel, was created using the sliding form technique, working round the clock for 83 days, at an average rate of 6 cm/hour.
