Our “Safety First” policy

Respect for each human being is fundamental and ranks at the top of the values at VINCI Construction Grands Projets.
To ensure that worksites remain safe spaces, the Safety First policy applies to everyone at his or her level within the organization.
Beyond the application of laws, regulations, and contractual obligations, all means are put forward to protect the health and safety of all stakeholders (employees, subcontractors, partners, clients, and visitors).
Safety is an integral part of the management culture at VINCI Construction Grands Projets. It is also a source of progress, as it fosters work quality and contributes to our know-how, experience, and competence. Safety is an essential condition for our employees and contributes to client satisfaction.
The safety policy must be understood, implemented, and sustained

We promote safety by:
- Providing welcoming meetings for new hires, training, individual protective equipment (IPE) and medical follow-ups for the employees
- Monitoring dangerous equipment and products (at purchasing, during maintenance, periodic audits) and work preparation and implementation (coordination at both design and execution phases, follow-up on provisional structures, specific implementation and control procedures)
- Conducting meetings, inspections and audits and capturing data aimed at monitoring system effectiveness and promoting continuous improvement.
Certification
In 2006, VINCI Construction Grands Projets obtained AFAQ certification for its health and safety management system in accordance with ILO-OSH-2001 (International Labour Office: Occupational Safety and Health), thus becoming the first large-scale French company to obtain this certification.
Since 1999, the Northern Europe division within the “France – Europe – Americas” operational division has also been certified under "VCA LSC **" version 2004/04 by the AIB Vinçotte Group in Belgium.
