Sustainable development

Diversity and social dialogue

With over 4,000 employees around the world, VINCI Construction Grands Projets is dedicated to promoting diversity and equal opportunity for all within the company.

Following studies on the causes of discrimination in corporate settings, VINCI Construction Grands Projets seeks to apply best practices for employing and integrating personnel with disabilities and ensure equal professional opportunities for men and women.

The company has adopted concrete measures:

We have come to an agreement with Partnerjob to foster employment for the spouses of personnel assigned abroad.
Our Human Resources personnel undergo training designed to raise awareness regarding discrimination in the workplace.
We contribute to the integration of young people from sensitive neighbourhoods by working closely with AJIR, a youth association.

Overseas employees

As part of the company’s integration policy, VINCI Construction Grands Projets provides to its mobile foreign employees at large-scale international worksites a specific status and context-related employment benefits.

Social dialogue

VINCI Construction Grands Projets favours social dialogue and maintains ongoing communications with employees representative bodies on subjects relating to work life and company news.

Employment conditions for personnel (assignments, transfers, etc.) are discussed on a monthly basis at meetings with employees representative bodies (employment commission). Important issues (diversity within the company, employment for people with disabilities, equal opportunity and compensation) are examined with our social partners in order to combat discrimination and foster equal opportunity.

Our executive management and our social partners have decided to enhance our employees’ purchasing power by offering profit-sharing compensation linked to collective performance levels. VINCI Construction Grands Projets pays profit shares tied to operations results. In 2007, this amount (based on 2006 end-of-year results) rose to €3.5 million.
