On 24 January 2017, President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda inaugurated the drinking water production plant located in the Ggaba peninsula in Kampala.
Sogea-Satom carried out the refurbishment and upgrade project for Uganda’s National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC). The project included civil engineering works, installation of electromechanical equipment, laying of distribution networks, installation of treated water tanks and waterproofing works.
This project doubles the production capacity of Kampala’s three water treatment plants (to 240 million litres per day) to keep pace with the growth of the Ugandan capital.
